Birthday

So, another birthday has come and gone, and actually, it's about 363 days left until the next one.

Yep, folks, i'm 26 now. and i don't look or feel a day older than....18? or maybe 20. :)

My birthday celebration started on the 9th, with the arrival of 3 known and one surprise guest to our humble town of Uzhgorod. Alison, Inge, and Rosen came down to see us, and they brought along with them, a Daniel. (not that you know any of them...)

So, we spent all day with them, starting with breakfast, then out to pizza for lunch, and finally chinese for dinner (yes, there is a chinese restaurant here). We did a lot of walking around town, up to a castle, and by the river, which was the relaxing part of the day. Relaxing in order to gear up for one crazy game of Nertz!!!

Sunday, the 10th, started out with a group church at our apartment. Then it was just quiet hang out time until the 4 troops left.

The results were: Alison got a migraine headache, Daniel and Inge probably had to frantically do their homework, and Rosen, well, I think it was easy for him. But they said it was worth it, and I have to agree with them.

After everyone left, and it was just me and the roommates, my roomies surprised me with a grapefruit cake (no kidding, they put 3 candles in a grapefruit, lit the candles and sang happy birthday to me again), and then gave me 2 beautiful picture frames with pictures i'd never seen in them (with me in them) and a photo album of other pictures of me and them, and some with me and orphan kids. It was great.

The 11th continued the birthday celebrations with a luncheon with Cornerstone (where I teach English) and then my students bought me flowers and an adidas purse! who knew they would know exactly what I like. the flowers were purple irises, and the purse is sporty! :) so either they like me, or they want to pass the class really, really well. :)

So, that's the end of my Birthday Article. :)
